Their vs. Theirsの違いと例

「Their」は、「彼ら」を意味する所有格代名詞です。「Theirs」は、「their」の複数形の所有格代名詞で、一般的にその後ろに所有物が付きません。「Their's」は、正しいスペルではないので、「theirs」という表現を使わないといけません。「their」は、そのまま所有格代名詞なので、その後にアポストロフィー(')と"s"を追加する必要はありません。つまり、「theirs」の「s」は、「their」を複数形に作るためのものであり、所有格にするものではありません。
